WhatsApp Now Allows One-Minute Status Updates: Here’s How to Do It

You won’t need to download any modified programs because it’s now a native feature of the app, allowing you to post videos that last up to a minute.

Millions of users have requested that Meta, the parent company, extend the duration of WhatsApp Messenger video statuses to one minute. As it stands, you can currently only post about a mere 30 seconds and often had to manually sync when the clip exceeded the allotted time, a process that was quite tedious as errors could disrupt the continuity of the stories you uploaded. Today, I’ll show you an incredible trick to post one-minute statuses without needing to download additional apps or altered programs like WhatsApp Plus, Fouad, GB, etc. The development team has increased the duration in the beta version of this instant messaging platform for Android users. Don’t worry; I’ll also explain how to obtain it in just a few minutes. Note that this change applies only to videos, not to images or GIFs.

Guide to Posting One-Minute Statuses on WhatsApp
First, access the Google Play Store on Android.
Next, type “WhatsApp” in the search bar.
Go to the app and scroll down.
Here, you’ll find the option to become a beta tester. If it’s not visible, click on the following link.
Accept the terms and wait a bit to start downloading WhatsApp Beta.
Enter the beta (it’s the same app).
The next step is to press the “New features” tab > then the “My status” section.
Choose a video that lasts more than 30 seconds.
As shown in the following image, you can now extend the bar to cut the video up to 1 minute.
Remember, this feature is rolling out gradually, and in some cases, it may not be enabled right after obtaining the Beta.
It’s always advisable to check Google Play to see if the app has been updated.
