On last Monday Cogeco Inc., for its subsidiary Cogeco Media, made an announcement of acquisition agreement of 10 regional radio stations of RNC Media.

The subordinate voting shares of Cogeco Inc. (CGO) have been listed on Toronto Stock Exchange which also lists subordinate voting shares of its subsidiary Cogeco Communications Inc. (CCA).
Through its fiber network of two-way broadband, video, internet and telephone services has been provided to individual and corporate customers in Canada by the Cogeco Inc. through its subsidiary Cogeco Communications Inc.
Under the brand name of Atlantic Broadband in United States from Maine in the northeast to Florida in the south east, Cogeco Communication has been operating with its services in 11 states of US states, along the coast and with brand name of Cogeco Connexion in Canada, Cogeco Communication has been operating in Ontario and Quebec. And full suite of information technology services like hosting, cloud and managed services, network connectivity and co-location has been provided to corporate customers by Cogeco Communication through its segment Cogeco Peer 1. With the presence of 50 of its points spread over Europe and North America, Cogeco Peer 1 offers it’s expertly managed IT infrastructure services under trade mark of FastFiber Network through 16 data centers.
Cogeco Inc. has been involved in operating radio stations across Quebec and Ontarion through Gogeco Media and a radio news agency Cogeco News.
After this last week’s transaction of worth $19.2 million, radio stations network of Cogeco Media has now been expanded to 22 radio stations including 21 radio stations across the Quebec province and with 1 Radio station in the province of Ontario.
The acquisition transaction was approved by Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) on October 11 this year and will be subject to closing adjustments.
